It took me a while to get to where I am now. But I realized that those words spoken over me do not define me. I choose to identify with who I am. I have the authority to change my narrative. It is not easy because there are days when the voices around you loom larger than your inner voice.

When you know your self-worth, you know you are the deal and you subconsciously act the part.

A lot of times, we let the natural circumstances dictate our lives. There is no room for faith or miracles. I was faced with an impossible situation, when I wanted to explore an opportunity.

I am now at a stage of breaking down the walls that have held me back for a long time. My healing is not complete, but I am at a stage where I am slowly integrating my life.

When you find yourself, you feel empowered. You feel like you are on top of this world and everything is just at your fingertips.

"Women who are not self-focused but believe in building up others are set apart. These women exude confidence, inner resilience, and glow with radiance. Secure women are the most beautiful women!"

So, lets talk more about fears, and what are some of the practical things we can do to overcome then. Let's face 2022 headstrong by being an overcomer!

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result." How many of us have been doing that in our dating life?

Recently, I found myself stuck in another similar situation. It was crazy as it took me a long time before I started to recognize the signs. This time it was different because the other party involved was a well-loved family member. I had tolerated the toxic environment and insults for the past years until I became immune to it. My sense of logic suggested that I should give in instead of standing up for myself. I felt the same fear that was threatening to keep me chained up once again. I felt stifled and, that frightened me.

When I started this pet project, I wanted to keep it simple. I wanted to enjoy the process of connecting and talking to other strong women out there. That is the reason why I decided to call the channel "The Living Room". It made it sound informal and personal. We are always comfortable in our living room, free to be as we are. We also make our guests feel welcomed in that room. That is what I wanted the guests coming on board to experience.

In line with International Women's Day, I am truly honored and pleased to feature Laletha Nithiyanandan. She was the founder and MD of Business Trends. Currently, she is the founder and MD of Behavioural Consulting Group, Co-Founder of Made of Brilliance, and Advisor with the Asia Institute of Mentoring.

I did not have to be anyone else but just be myself. I have always loved affirming people and, this book gave me more practical tips on how I can motivate the people I am leading. It taught me important principles like self-aware and self-accepting to hone my leadership style.

This book was liberating and made me more aware of the manipulative emotions of others. The practical tips addressed in the book helped me to set healthy boundaries in my relationships with colleagues and friends.

After reading this book, I began to turn down some appointments and learned to cultivate my relationships. I began to take time for myself and live in the present. That has enabled me to keep a healthy body, mind, and soul.
