Based in Singapore, Shivon Gunalan is passionate about empowering women to find their identity. A visionary by nature, she enjoys connecting people and build community. Her desire is to nurture other women to be bold, and to achieve their full potential of who they are.
Shivon is interested in working with women who has suffered traumatic experiences, abuse or feelings of condemnation. She wants to help these women find their emotional & inner healing, so they can be liberated.
As an author, Shivon found her calling in recreating biblical stories to fit the modern context. Her first book “A Divine Connection (2020)” was based on the story of Issac and Rebecca, while her second book, “A Scandal of Grace (2021)” was based on Hosea and Gomer. She felt that a woman can only find their true worth and self-esteem when they encounter the love of God. She uses the books as a tool to showcase God’s love to the readers through the lives of her characters. She is currently working on her third book titled “Second Chances.”
She is also active in her YouTube Channel “The Living Room” which features the inspiring stories of brave women talking about women empowerment.
Shivon spends most her free time reading, travelling, going for walks, hanging out with her friends. Her favourite authors include AW Tozer, Matt Batterson, Sharon Jaynes, among others.
