Finding my leadership style

The Life-Giving Leader is the fourth book that impacted me greatly. I have read many books on leadership, but the message in this book was compelling. As I stepped into a leadership role, I did not have any mentors around me. I tried to emulate the senior leaders around me, but I was not myself.

My personality was different from theirs. I felt that leaders should have different styles and not cut from the same cloth. I didn't have any resources that I can look up until I came across this book. By then, I had given up on being an efficient leader.

I loved that this book taught about authentic leadership, where we lead from our true selves. I did not have to be anyone else but just be myself. I have always loved affirming people and, this book gave me more practical tips on how I can motivate the people I am leading. It taught me important principles like self-aware and self-accepting to hone my leadership style.
