Letting Go

For our mental wellbeing, we have to choose to let go of some friendships in our life. Some friendships are seasonal. You hang out together and have a lot of fun, but that is all you will get out of it. When you take a step back and evaluate the friendship, you might find them taking more from you instead of giving. To achieve a lasting friendship, you will need to invest time and resources.

Not everyone is worth the effort. When you do not balance out the scores, you end up drawing more from the other party. The more the friendship progresses, it will cause a strain. Things get taken out of context and whatever you said will be misconstrued. When that happens, things get bitter leaving a bad after taste in your life. Choose your friends wisely as it also affects everything around you.
