Creating Boundaries

Before reading this book, I have always been very fluid with my boundaries. As a result, I aimed to please the people around me. It was frustrating at times.

This book was liberating and made me more aware of the manipulative emotions of others. The practical tips addressed in the book helped me to set healthy boundaries in my relationships with colleagues and friends.

My favourite quote and takeaway from the book is: "Boundaries define us. They define what is me and what is not me. A boundary shows me where I end and someone else begins, leading me to a sense of ownership. Knowing what I am to own and take responsibility for gives me freedom. Taking responsibility for my life opens up many different options. Boundaries help us keep the good in and the bad out."
